Shhhh.
I'm not supposed to talk about this quite yet, but I have the inside scoop on this year's Podcast Pavilion at Podcast Movement 2017.
LIVE RECORDING AT PM17
This year PM17 will offer attendees the opportunity to record their shows live.
Why is this a big deal?
..because you don't have to bring anything more than your voice and an SD card.
Oh man! That's so much easier than lugging around a Heil PR40 and mixing board. Whew.
TWO LIVE TABLES AND EIGHT MICROPHONES
(I bet you are thinking about Beck right now, aren't you?)
TalkShoe are sponsoring the event with two “booths” with everything you need to record a 4-person episode.
Shure is also sponsoring the Pavilion by providing eight SM7B microphones (dynamic mics, of course).
How do I know about this?
Because the founders of Podcast Movement, specifically Dan Franks and Jared Easley, are giving me the responsibility of running the Podcast Pavillion!
Last year I organized live podcast recording at FinCon, an annual conference for people in the personal finance, money and media industry.
SCHEDULING TO RECORD LIVE
With over 100 podcasters in attendance at FinCon San Diego 2016, it was a challenge to fit everyone into the limited time at the conference (do the math and you'll see what I'm talking about).
Podcast Movement's Podcast Pavilion will be an even bigger challenge – BECAUSE EVERYONE THERE WILL BE MORE THAN 1,800 PODCASTERS AT PM17!
It won't be possible to give everyone the time slot they want, so I'm going to have to break some hearts.
GOING TO PM17?
I can't wait to meet you.
Get your tickets at PodcastMovement.com and your hotel room at the Marriott Anaheim before they are all gone.
