iTunes Episode Number Hack

itunes episode number hack

Apple doesn't want episode numbers in the title of the episode.

I get it. They look ugly and take up valuable real estate.

You want to communicate what the episode is about as quickly as you can, but starting an episode title with “Episode #123: ” is wasting 14 characters.

But you also want to reference past episodes, and numbers are fairly easy to communicate. “We talked about that back in Episode 123…”.

How can you make it easy for people to reference and find episodes in your listing while also complying with Apple's request?
