What would you do with $1,000,000.00

1 million dollar bill

What could you do if you had a MILLION dollars?

Would you purchase a house and travel the world?  Would you save it for retirement?  Would you give it away to your local church or charity?  Take a moment and think about it……

There are only three things you can do with money:

  • SPEND money

  • SAVE money

  • GIVE money

It would be easy to do all three if you had a million, so what if you only had one thousand?  If you are out of debt then you should also do All of the above. Enjoy the money you get by spending some of it on yourself, but don't blow it all or you may be calling on the Social Security Office at retirement age because you need the SSI check.  And don't save every bit of it or you could grow up to be stingy and no fun.

There is one sure-fire way to get money – WORK. Work is a sure-fire money-making scheme, and you have to WORK at saving, spending, and giving too:

  • WORK on controlling your SPENDING (so you have money left to do the other two things)

  • WORK on SAVING or you will be caught short when an unexpected event happens – and you can expect an unexpected event will happen to you at some point in your life.

  • WORK on GIVING your money away.  Giving isn't a natural human characteristic, but it is an acquired character trait.   You don't believe me?  Get out of debt, save some money, then give a bunch of it away.  Believe it or not, you will feel GREAT!

Now stop reading this blog and get to WORK!

If I were to get $1,000,000.00 dollars! I worked 41+ years at the same job I took 2 days after graduating from high school. I was forced to retire early due to kidney failure, however my wife has to continue to work so we can pay the bills and mortgage. With this kind of windfall we could pay off the mortgage and bills and have enough money so that my wife could stop working and stay home and help me with my medical needs. This would also open up a job for someone that is out of work.
We would very much welcome any windfall!

Bob, sorry to hear about the difficulties you are facing. The good news is that you are able to maintain a positive attitude when all things fall apart. The advancement in medical treatments and medicines have allowed us to live longer, although at a great price.
I do hope you find something you can work on while taking care of yourself. Have you heard of Dan Miller? I would highly recommend you download his free e-book http://www.48days.net/page/no-more-mondays-ebook – very inspirational and full of weird, but successful, ideas!

If I were to win $1 million dollars, ( 1 ) Pay taxes and all depts ( 2 ) Donate to childrens hospitals ( 3 ) Provide for my 2 daughters and 5 ganchildren to be able to start them off on a bright road towards a good life. I am 53 years old and have struggled all my life, I have raised my two daughters on my own, NO SUPPORT and do for my grandchildren as much as I can, children are our future. Way to go Sharon! You had it rough but didn’t quit. I would bet your two daughters learned some great life lessons from your struggles and your strength!

I wouldn’t spend a million dollars. I’d hand it to my beautiful pregnant girlfriend Kristin Blackett because she is the kindest most generous person I have ever imagined could possibley exist. She would most likely find where it was needed and would change many lives for the better. And then I woukd sit back abd smile at her cause sge is happiest when sge is helping someone and her happy is what sets the wholr world in propper motionI believe.
